Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) Her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. The parents of her did not want her to perform until she turned an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry she was timid to perform in the school, began to perform in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry moved to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness brought Perry home to California which was where theatre jobs were readily available. She performed on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015, she appeared with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she played a recurring role on her own ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. In the same year, she appeared as a younger model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother as a young version. She was cast in the role despite her close familial connection to the character.
